- Lease With Option to Purchase (LWOP)
The agency uses the equipment for the term of the lease. At lease end, the agency may 1) purchase the assets, 2) renew the lease, or 3) return the assets to the leasing company. LWOPs ease an agency's risk of technology obsolescence.
- Straight Lease or Rental
The agency makes payments for the term of the lease. At the end of the term, the agency either renews the lease or returns the assets to the leasing company.
